That Was Me
We’ve all heard of it. God’s plan. Believe in Him. Walk down the path He’s made for us. He will guide us. Protect us.
For Abigail, it was filled with tragedy. Loosing her father, mother, and then her four year old son, Max, disappears.
She’d finally had enough of “God’s plan.”
It’s been two years since the day Abby walked into the apartment, her sister passed out and her son missing. Two years of calling a cardboard box in an alley home. The inside littered with lottery tickets. Each one a dream that didn’t come true. A good that didn’t come from a life of bad.
The blackouts that have plagued her life are getting worse. The dreams more real. Visions clear. Abby didn’t need a doctor to tell her what’s coming.
Then Jack enters her life. Nine years old, dark hair, bright blues eyes. Seemingly knows everyone. Knows the city. Knows the Lord. A relentless joy and energy.
Abby has a dream. A tug on her heart. It’s Kristen. Barely alive, an abandon warehouse. The only link to her missing son. It’s time. To finally forgive her sister. To find her. Fast. Before God takes her too. Before the only hope of finding her son is gone. But how?
Abby quickly realizes Jack is her only hope. She must learn to trust him. To believe the path they’re on will lead her to Kristen, and hopefully, Max. Along the way, Jack shines his light on what it means to pray for people. To heal them. To feed the homeless. To believe in God.
The timer on Abby’s life is ticking. Will it run out before she finds Kristen and Max? Before Jack can lead her back to Jesus? And, when she discovers that God has always been in her life, protecting her. Guiding her. Will she do what God has called her to do? Forgive the man that took her father’s life.
