Footprints
In a dense forest in northern Wisconsin, sixteen-year-old Jesse Hayes searches for his father. The snowstorm is relentless. The footprints are fading. When Jesse finally finds his father, there are no smiles between them, no sigh of relief in Jesse’s breath. His father is dead.
Six years later, their mother dies unexpectedly. Now, the promise Jesse made to his mother may destroy all he has left. His brother and sister turn against him, pressuring him to sell the farm. To make matters worse, Jesse stumbles across information that frames him for the very crime his brother has accused him of.
Jesse returns to the cabin in search of the truth. A search for answers that may bring forgiveness. But startling discoveries, near fatal accidents and a local sheriff that may know too much, lead Jesse to believe that his own brother may be trying to murder him.
